YWAM Kausar teams are always coming face to face with physical needs, both large and small.
Whether Disaster, Disease or Poverty, we can deliver your assistance to where it is needed the most- to the marginalised and the forgotten.
DISASTER The boy on the right has just received a warm blanket to keep his family warm. His family had survived an earth quake and were huddled together, with hundreds of others, on the cold, wet lowlands of the Himalayan mountains in the middle of winter. His family had also received our Relief Pack providing waterproof tarpaulin shelter, food, equipment for boiling water, tea and a small torch for security at night. These large groups of displaced people had watched relief convoys pass by every day. The trucks were on their way to high altitude villages in distress. Hundreds, like this boy’s family, had been left to fend for themselves, with nothing. Without the expertise of our local Rapid Response Team the anger of these forgotten ones would have made distribution too dangerous, but they knew our leader and allowed the team to deliver help in peace. Love requires cooperation!

MEDICAL. This lady comes from an impoverished background. Her husband is a day labourer and her daughter still a student. A faulty gas cannister blew up in her face whilst preparing a family meal. She was rushed to hospital for emergency care but afterwards left to languish on the ward. Her husband returned to his village leaving her with their desperate daughter, who contacted us for help. The lady’s face and neck were severely burnt. Her lips were sealed and scar tissue on her neck was pulling her head down to disable her permanently. As you can see here, the neck surgery we funded was successful and she can now hold her head up normally. However, to be able to open her mouth to speak and eat normally once again, she needs further, specialist, expensive surgery. We are building up the lump sum needed for this.
If you can contribute to reach our goal, please donate to our Medical Fund which was depleted by the costs of the previous life-saving surgery. (Updated November 2024).

With 8 million unemployed due to low education and poor economic conditions, many families survive on money sent from relatives living and working overseas. (IMF 2024)
Pakistan currently hosts nearly three million Afghans, with close to 2.4 million possessing some form of legal documentation. Afghan refugees are treated with suspicion, but they will be living in the nation for the foreseeable future. Processing resettlement visas to other nations takes several years. Meanwhile, landlords are afraid to rent them rooms fearing terrorist connections or inspections from the police. Among them are many believers who seek fellowship, support and safe places to live. They are grateful for any hospitality our teams can offer them

TOPICS FOR PRAYER:
Provision of Safe Houses
Medical Funds
Funds for Relief of Poverty
Visas for Afghan refugee families known to our teams.
